About me
I’m an experienced clinical psychologist in private practice. I offer evidence-based, tailored individual therapy, group workshops, and clinical supervision. My previous work experience spans private practice, psychiatric inpatient units, and international humanitarian aid with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders in clinical and managerial roles.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology (2007) and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) (2013).
I am an EMDR Association of Australia Accredited Consultant.
Who I work with
I support adults (21+) looking for meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients have tried talk therapy before and now feel ready to go deeper - to explore formative experiences and “do the work.” I have a particular interest in working with women who have survived trauma and are rebuilding their lives and finding themselves. Many of my clients are high achievers in their respective fields, driven by perfectionism, looking to strengthen and enrich their lives in other areas - mainly, relationships; and learn how to be more content with who they are.
I also work with medical and mental health professionals, first responders, and humanitarian aid workers. My practice is inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming.
How I work
My primary modalities are Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and, increasingly, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), often combined with other evidence-based treatments tailored to your goals. I offer a direct, collaborative, and depth-oriented approach. If you’re seeking primarily supportive, talk-based therapy or prefer a less direct interpersonal style, I may not be the best fit.
Common issues I treat
• Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD
• Trauma across the lifespan (childhood trauma, sexual abuse, parental and narcissistic abuse, spiritual abuse) and single-incident trauma (e.g., accidents, violent crimes)
• Dissociative disorders (DID, OSDD)
• Attachment injuries and relationship difficulties
• Low self-worth and chronic shame
• Anxiety (generalised, social, performance, phobias)
• Depression
• Stress and burnout
• Adult ADHD and neurodivergence-related concerns
• Grief and loss, including complicated grief and VAD-related bereavement
Please note
For safety and quality of care, I’m unable to assist clients in active addiction, or those with severe personality or eating disorders, as these typically require more specialised and intensive services.
Supervision
I provide supervision and peer consultation for mental health professionals seeking to deepen skills in trauma, dissociation, anxiety, EMDR, and parts work approaches. As an EMDR Consultant, I enjoy supporting practitioners with EMDR case formulation and integrating trauma-informed approaches.
A bit more about me
Outside of work, I’m a mum to a spirited toddler. In rare quiet moments, I enjoy creative projects (many delightfully unfinished), time in nature, travel, and meditation.
