About me

Picture
I am an experienced clinical psychologist presently working in private practice offering individual therapy, group therapy, and clinical supervision services. I have experience of working in a variety of settings, including private practice, psychiatric inpatient units, and international humanitarian aid (Doctors Without Borders). I completed a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2007, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree in 2013. I am also an EMDR Association of Australia Accredited Practitioner.

I work with adult clients (21 and over) seeking treatment for a wide range of difficulties. I have a special interest in working with women who have survived traumatic experiences and are trying to make sense of the world on the way to healing. I have the privilege of assisting people with histories of psychological trauma and complex trauma, including adverse childhood experiences and attachment traumas. Most of my clients have had prior experiences with talk therapy that haven't fully been able to resolve their concerns, and they are looking to dive in deeper into themselves and their formative experiences. My main focus at the moment is on offering Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) in combination with other evidence-based treatments to those clients.

I also offer treatment for the spectrum of anxiety disorders, depression, and relationship issues.
Additionally, I have a specific interest in working with medical personnel, first responders, and humanitarian aid workers.
My practice is inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming.

Outside of work, I’m a mum to a spirited toddler, and in my limited spare time I enjoy dabbling in creative projects (which often never get finished), spending time in nature, travelling, meditation practice and Zen study.

Common issues my clients present with:
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Trauma throughout the lifespan including childhood trauma, sexual abuse, parental and narcissistic abuse, spiritual abuse, as well as single incident trauma (accidents, violent crimes, etc)
  • Dissociative disorders (DID, OSDD)
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Attachment traumas
  • Low self-worth
  • Anxiety (generalised, social, performance, phobias)
  • Depression
  • Stress and burnout
  • Adult ADHD
  • Neurodivergence-related concerns
  • Grief and loss, including complicated grief, VAD

Please note that I am unable to assist clients in active addiction, or those with severe personality or eating disorders, as a more specialised and intensive treatment is typically required in those instances.
